Starting an internet marketing company is an excellent way to leave the drudgery of working for someone else behind. We have all been up late at night when infomercials are on. The vast majority of them want you to believe that you can become wealthy overnight or within a few weeks. I am here to debunk these infomercials and give you the honest truth.
Here tow things that these infomercials feature and my "real world" take on how things work.
1.) Rags to Riches
One thing that all of the infomercials have in common
is that they profess to enable you to earn thousands of dollars in a very short time.
If you plan to run an internet marketing company (every internet business is an internet marketing company) you must realize that there is no such thing as instant success. Ask any successful internet business owner and they will tell you that making a comfortable income is possible but it takes time.
2.) Work Part-Time
Most of the infomercials tell you that you can earn huge amounts of money while only working a few short hours per week.
I have owned a successful internet business for over ten years and let me be the first to tell you that you are going to have to put in large amounts of time, especially in the beginning. Even though I have operated an internet marketing company for more than ten years I still put in a minimum of four hours per day. There were countless 10 to 12 hour days when I first started, so do not believe the hype.
There are more points that I could debunk for you regarding infomercials and perhaps I will do that in another article. My goal in this article was to expose you to the honest truth when it comes to their two main selling points. In all honesty infomercials actually do make millionaires ...but the millionaires are the ones who create the infomercials. Do not fall into the trap.
