Working at home online does require discipline due to the many distractions. In order for your online home business to continue to be successful herewith some do's and don'ts and how it will change your dog's life too.

Do's ~

It is highly advisable to get into a routine a soon as possible and decide how many hours a day you are going to dedicate to your work at home online business then decide when those hours will be.

Making use of To-Do Lists ~ daily, short-term and long-term lists will prevent you from be
oming distracted and help keep you focused and motivated to ensure you accomplish all that you set out to do.

To save you being interrupted throughout the day it is a good idea to advise your friends and neighbours that although you are at home, you do have a work at home online business and let them know when it is convenient to visit, otherwise you will have people popping in throughout the day and you will find it hard to settle down to get any work done at all.

Try and get your chores done first thing before you switch on that computer and get involved with your online home business, because as you know the hours can fly by so fast when working on the internet.

Set yourself break times for meals otherwise you may also find the day goes by and you have not yet had lunch.

Don'ts ~

Don't allow yourself to become house bound and totally absorbed in your work at home online business ~ you need to balance your life. Make time to get out and meet your friends, enjoy your shopping sprees or partake in your favourite sport.

Don't forget to keep invoices, receipts and slips and claim for everything that is tax deductible for your online home business, including your office space.

Be sure not to forget to attend to the maintenance of your computer. Back-up regularly and defrag your hard drive to ensure maximum performance of your pc.

You don't ever have to miss another school play or sports day ~ that is the great advantage of the internet and with an online home business you can make up the time working at night.

Your 4-legged work at home companion ~

Your dog's life too will change having you working at home online. Dogs just love having someone at home all the time, instead of having to wait a whole day for human company.

My work at home companion Zoe, has got so used to my routine that 10 minutes prior to my next move from the study she comes in and lies and waits by my chair. Whether it is when I go to make lunch or when we go for our morning and evening walks.

Your 4-legged friend will provide you with the very necessary daily walk that you also need having sat all day at the computer.

Working at home online can sometimes get lonely, so at least you can never be accused of talking to yourself when you have a dog to share things with!

You dog will quickly slot into the new routine. The walk and play times not only give you the exercise you need but the very important break for your eyes. Looking at a computer screen all day is not good for them.

In closing ~

Be proud of what you have accomplished with your work at home online business, DO strive to make it bigger and better ~ DON'T fall prey to cabin fever ~ heed your dog's call to go for that walk!

Setting performance goals with employees enhances buy-in and commitment.  This article defines the kinds of performance goals that are appropriate in the performance planning process.

If you establish performance goals during the annual performance evaluation process and have often wondered where to start, here is a little guidance.  I work with many supervisors and employees who see goal setting as the opportunity to list the classes the employee will attend for the coming year.  And, while learning goals are
appropriate, the goal setting process can be much more meaningful.  Here are four kinds of goals that you might consider when setting annual performance goals.

1.    Essence of the Job Goals – These are the goals that clearly describe tasks that are required on the job.  For example, an accountant might have a goal to prepare and submit monthly financial statements.  A librarian might have a goal to catalogue and reshelf returned books within 12 hours.  A mail clerk might have a goal that requires her to deliver all mail daily to all work sites.  Essence of the job goals make the expectations for the job clearer than they are listed on the job description.  These goals personalize the job to the position and to the individual employee.

2.    Project Goals – Project goals are those activities that the employee will pursue with a beginning and an end and may be above and beyond the employee's routine duties.  Project goals can be related to improving systems, developing new products, creating new programs, or anything else that you can think of.

3.    Professional Development Goals – Professional development goals specify what the employee will learn for the coming year.  While attending a class to learn something new is noble, I challenge you to find new ways to help employees develop their skills while clearly linking the goal to the organization's needs.  For example, "cross training in a new work area at least one day per week" is a professional development goal. A better goal would be to cross train in the accounting department at least once per week and be able to reconcile bank statements by October 31. Or, "attend a training class on PowerPoint and develop a new slide show to be used in new employee orientation" would be more challenging than just attending the class.  Make sure the professional development goals not only develop the employee, but also help your organization.

4.    Performance Improvement Goals – Performance improvement goals should be saved for those times when you want to emphasize clearly that an employee's behavior must change.  Performance improvement goals include things like, "arrive to work ready to serve customers at 8 a.m. every day" or "limit the number of customer complaints you receive to three per quarter."  Obviously, not all employees would need these kinds of goals.  However, they can be helpful in documenting your performance expectations in a clear and measurable way.

Now, go out there and set some goals!  Make your expectations clear and everyone wins!

Why Use a Freelance Writer

Posted by Admin | 7:06 PM

As outsourcing sweeps through the world economy - freelance writers are gaining popularity in internet marketing as well as the generation of internet traffic.

Freelance writers have become more popular recently- as outsourcing sweeps through the world economy.  There are many reasons to use them. The question is- does a specific freelance writer fit the exact needs of your project?

Probably the most important thing to start out with is to be clear as to the nature of your project- and why you don't want t
do the project yourself or use someone in-house. The usual answer to that are either time or skills, sometimes both.

Many people who use freelance writers realize that the craft of writing requires a great deal of skill- the ability to communicate; the mastery of basic writing skills- ranging from grammar and spelling to sentence structure and style; the knowledge of how to write effectively for a specific media, whether it is web content or a novel and often some kind of knowledge of how to market or distribute the product.  Nowadays, an important consideration is whether the freelance writer is absolutely fluent in the language he is writing in, although, surprisingly, this is not always a major consideration of buyers of those services.

If the project requires a certain skill set and you need someone else to do it, you can either network to find a writer, do an Internet search or go to any of a number of freelance sites where writers play their trade.  Two of the most popular are Guru.com and Elance.com. In these sites, you can search by keywords for a writer of choice, examine their portfolios, look at their feedback and even communicate with them before you accept their bid. In looking at these things, it is necessary to absolutely look at the skill sets involves, particularly as demonstrated by their portfolio, which is often replete with examples of the type of project you are working with.

If available samples don't exactly fit, you can look carefully at the resume or background of the writer. Many times, freelance writers cannot offer samples of confidential work or do not carry samples of the odder type of projects. Still, by looking at samples and the writer's background, you can often evaluate his potential for a specific project. Further, you can actually make a proposal that includes some kind of test, a short sample for the bidders to try their hands in.  Or, if necessary, you could request a customized sample of this type from one of your prospective writers.  If you do not overload the writer with speculative work, he will often be willing to comply.

For more information on using a freelance writer, please call Johnny Blue Star 760-323-0193, contact him through Skype at johnny.blue.star or email him at cvnewz@aol.com.  Visit his website at johnnybluestar.com.

From the title given in this article, you might be wondering How a Logo can Change a Defeat into a Winning? If you've been wondering about it, it's good because it is curiosity that makes one to keep learning & developing.

As a logo specialist, I have a special bond with the logo so that the way I see it is different than the designers usually have. Usually designers considered Logo only as a symbol or picture that represents a product, a company or a group. I see it as a whole unique item.

Can a
logo change the defeats into winnings? The answers can be found after you finish reading this article.

If we as human have faces & bodies to be easily recognized, how about the goals? I see logo as the face of a goal; it represents everything that doesn't have actual visual form. Logo has big influences, e.g.:

  1. Logos influence the life & the end of a company.
  2. Logos can lift up the employees' spirit within a company, or on the other way around, it also can kill it.
  3. The immensity of its influence that can change defeats into winnings.

Based on my personal experience, I often find that a company that has a bad logo usually doesn't last long or go bankrupt. Based on the histories, big companies who can be winners are the ones who have a good logo or companies that are renewing it with new goals that is in a line with the time.

How to make a good Logo? A good logo is the one that derived from good vision, mission & strategies. A company that can win, is the one that has good vision, mission & strategies. Therefore, the first step in making a logo is to make vision, mission & strategies of the company.

In the same view that human have 3 dimensions, which are, body, soul (thoughts) & spirit; logos have visual, strategy & vision. In logos, the spirit dimension is the vision & mission which can't be seen visually but are the preliminary element of forming the Logo. The Strategy Plan is the Thoughts Dimension while its visual form as the Body Dimension.

The logo making process steps is started from the vision mission building stage, then strategy stage which explain how to reach the vision & mission which translated into the logo form.

Stage 1. Vision & Mission

In making a vision mission, there are some important requirements factors that we should know.

  1. The Vision & Mission should have correlation with the business that we make, for example: If we want to build a school, the vision mission is to educate the students.
  2. The Vision & Mission should be unique, not a copycat of other companies' nor the competitors. With this uniqueness, then we can compete with the others.
  3. The Vision & Mission should be positive, never has negative one.
  4. The Vision & Mission should not only give external positive impact, but also give internal positive impact if the company should also think The Vision & Mission that can raise the prosperity of its employees.
  5. The Vision & Mission ideally, not more than 10 items for the member to remember easily.
  6. The Vision & Mission should be focused. If not, the direction won't be clear enough.
  7. The Vision & Mission should be derived from the inputs of other people, so it can be perfected.

Stage 2. Strategy Plan

This strategy is used to get The Vision & Mission, which are:

  1. Product Strategy, Product should be unique and in line with the The Vision & Mission. Things that we have to consider here are:
The uniqueness of the product, which is different than the competitors.
  2. Added value that we have and others don't have.
  3. To unite 2 products that can support each other so that can have more value.
  4. Marketing Strategy, there are some that we should decide:
    - Decide the Target market (Segmentation)?
    - Decide to choose the Niche Market or the Rare Market
    - Decide How to Sell?
    - Decide the Customer Service system
  5. Promotion Strategy, how to appeal people to buy the products (e.g.: with discounts, etc)
  6. Nurture Strategy, is the strategy that is used for:
    - Improving the Skill & the working Abilities of the employees to be able to work better.
    - Building the Mentality & the Morality of the employees in working, e.g.: by doing the community prayer in the office.
    - Building good relationship among the employees, by giving outbound training & other things can improve the team work & trust one with the others.
    - Building Motivation in working so they can keep their working quality consistency, e.g.: by letting them go to motivation seminar, etc.

Stage 3.  Logo Implementation

In the Logo Implementation, there are 7 steps which are:

  1. Brainstorming, we conclude all the vision & mission & the strategy into one conclusion of the logo concept. Then we write as many keywords as we can that can represent that conclusion.
  2. Research, from the conclusion that we made, we make a research to find what are the visual form that best represent it.
  3. Visual Choice, from all the pictures that we found, we pick which ones that most represent & in a line with the soul of the conclusion that we made earlier.
  4. Sketching, from the visual form that we picked, we modify it to be simpler & into some alternatives form which we think good.
  5. Typography, from the visual form, we choose the font that most in a line with the visual logo form, in which still has the connection between the font from with the logo conclusion.
  6. Coloring, the already set visual form & typography, then we find colors which look up to the logo concept. E.g.: if a bank logo wants to appeal as a trusted bank, they can use blue color to symbolize the Trust.
  7. Compositing, after colorings, then we see the composition if it is used in the name cards, letters head, are they compatible or not. If it's not that good, we can do some adjustment such as reducing the font size, etc.

By doing all of these stages, we will produce a perfect logo which can strengthen the company that I represents.

This is the answer of the above question, "How Logo can change Defeats into Winnings" because a company that about to be bankrupt, if they do the correct Logo Process, that is started by forming the Vision & Mission, Strategy Plan then the Logo Implementation, will resurrect again.

This is a humorous, maybe not so funny if you can relate to it, poem.

It is about how one women realized the importance of balancing time between work and family.

If before you have turned on the coffee,
or got your kids fed,
If you are the last one dressed and ready to leave the house,
While others in the family get ready, your still moving a mouse.

If you have more friends online,
than you do in real life,
And hubby refers to you as his cyber wife.

If you coo
dinner between web pages and downloads,
And your brain is dreaming about java script codes.

If your daughter tells her teacher moms a computerholic,
And you always push, "view source" to see how web pages tic,

If you are still sitting with blood shot eyes in that chair,
While the rest of the family is off having fun somewhere,

If the dishes are piled high on the counter and sink,

You know you should be doing them,
you just got to hit one more link.

If all of the above in life seem too true,
Maybe you should rule your computer, instead of letting it rule you!

Do you want to know what the biggest secret to success is? It is taking action.

What is the difference between the people who have really made it and you, is they took massive, decisive action. They left their comfort zone and were willing to do what others were not. They seized an opportunity and went full steam ahead. You cannot let the fear of failure paralyze you.

You have to be determined you cannot allow roadblocks or obstacles stop you. Action fueled with determination is the recipe for success. Making the wrong decision i
better than not taking any action. Leaving your comfort zone is not easy, to push ahead even at the thought you might fail. Focus on the rewards achieving your goal will bring you.

You have to make your dream a real desire. You have to see it, feel what it is like to live it, taste, and touch and smell it. You have to become obsessed about what it is you want; you have to fixate on your goals. When you become obsessed with something your mind will go to work to figure out how to get it. Just keep the focus, the universe will will answer the how.

The more focused and obsessed you are with your dreams and goals the quicker you will be living them. Most people have heard it said that knowledge is power. It is only powerful it you do something with it. You must act on it.

Here is the formula for success you should post on your bathroom mirror: knowledge x massive action= results

As they say actions, speak louder than words. The great thing about taking action is, even when you take only baby steps they tend to snowball. Once you get the smallest taste of success, it encourages you to do more, pushing you to higher levels of success until you have reached you goal and need to set a new one.

The question is how bad do you want to change your stagnant, routine life?

My favorite quotes on taking action-

Claude M. Bristol:
"It's the constant and determined effort that breaks down all resistance and sweeps away all obstacles."

E. M. Gray:
"The successful person has the habit of doing the things failures don't like to do."

Conrad Hilton:
"Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don't quit."

Theodore Roosevelt:
"In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing"

Madeleine L'Engle
"Inspiration usually comes during work, rather than before it."

Eleanor Roosevelt
"You must do the very thing you think you cannot do."

Confucius
"The superior man is modest in his speech, but exceeds in his actions."

Napoleon Hill
"Concentration of effort and the habit of working with a definite chief aim are two of the essential factors in success which are always found together. One leads to the other.

Sir Isaac Newton-

"A body at rest tends to remain at rest and a body in motion tends to remain in motion."

The Art Of Delegation

Posted by Admin | 3:38 AM

Delegation is a very important part of any business. No business can be a one-man show for long. All kinds of businesses are dependent on help. Help can be in cash or in kind, but is essential to ask for, and you should not be hesitant in seeking it. Manpower is most vital for running a successful business. Chances are that if you are doing everything on your own then you may end up wasting precious time on small errands that otherwise might be used for more productive tasks. You should give adequate thought before taking on any task that ca
be done by someone else. There is always a possibility that some of your business tasks may be better performed by a person who has expertise in a particular area.

Running a successful business is a hard-earned task that has many responsible ingredients. As a business entrepreneur you should know not just these vital ingredients, but the recipe as well. All of these elements, combined with hard work and devotion, will provide you with a flourishing business empire.

In our current times, business environments are always changing. An idea that works today will not necessarily work in the future. You should always be on the watch for new ideas and keep yourself open to any new shifts in thought. In business, the same principles apply, and entrepreneurs that want to succeed will be required to adapt quickly to the rapidly changing environment. If you look at all the changes that businesses have undergone in order to succeed, you will easily understand this concept. Remember how Nissan discontinued Datsun, or the marketing changes that Coca Cola and Pepsi have undergone? It is always a good idea to study the tactics that have been employed by successful companies in order to understand the changes that have helped them to weather storms in a changing business environment.

Many brands have been with us for decades, and there have been times where they have had to modify their strategies in order to regain market share. Sears and JC Penny are excellent example of brands that have successfully adapted to change. A lot of businesses have been born of the vision of a particular entrepreneur - but once that vision enters the realm of reality it is important that the business has an ability to adapt to change.

The business environment is always changing, and you should be ready to change your products and services whenever needed. There is no room for rigidity in business anymore, and you should keep this in mind. It is always a good idea to stay alert to what your customers are saying and be prepared to bring enhancement wherever needed.

Ways To Save And Make Money

Posted by Admin | 3:38 AM

Ways to Save and Make Money

Money is an essential part of life in today\'s modern world, so kids are never too young to start learning about it. Children will have greater respect for money and be able to use it better if parents start teaching them as early as possible. Here\'s how to do it:Visit today http://legitimate-work-at-home-teens-jobs.blogspot.com

Children learn primarily from t
eir parents, so don\'t wait until they learn about money in math class to teach them. Important life lessons on money are learned by children from Mom and Dad in the home.

Money doesn\'t buy happiness, but it does keep one from starving. Mom and Dad have jobs that pay for the house, the food, the utilities, and everything a family needs. Kids need to know that their parents are not like money trees that you can shake until enough green falls down for a new bike or a new doll. There is only money to spend as long as the parents go to work and earn it.

Start training your children with money they are gifted at holidays and birthdays. Teach them that by saving up money little by little they will be able to purchase something they really want instead of just what they happen to be able to afford at the moment.

It is not enough to know that money exists. Kids must be able to handle it responsibly. Create a family budget and let the kids participate in the process. They will see how their parents divide their money between the bills and leisure activities.

Children can learn how disciplining yourself financially will eventually bring worthwhile rewards. You can accomplish this with your kids by saving money each month to be used by the family to go out and do something special and fun that the kids have picked out.Visit today http://legitimate-work-at-home-teens-jobs.blogspot.com

When you are in business it is important that you have an identity of your own. It is the identity of your business that goes a long way in determining the failure or success of your organisation.

Like a person can't do without a name a business organisation can't do without an identity. In the contemporary scenario it is quite difficult to form your own identity and especially for businesses. Considering the kind of neck-to-neck competition they are posed with creating your own identity makes for a task
hat is next to impossible.

Promotional products are a great solution if you seek to create identity for your brand. They can go a long way in taking your brand upfront with your clients. Promotional products allow you to play up your brand and create their space in the minds of your interest groups. Owing to the utility that these promotional products have to offer they ensure that your message sticks around for quite some time.

As the promotional products that you offer are going to be used by the recipient it is obvious that every time these products are going to be in use your brand is going to get noticed. And with continuous usage you in the process will end up fixing your name in the minds of the recipient. So ultimately with promotional products you not only create your brand identity but also strengthen it considerably.

When it comes to creating your brand identity with promotional products it is not only the immediate recipient that notices your brand name but others around him do that too. Say for instance if you choose a promotional product like a promotional mug you end up putting your brand right at the desk of your clients that means others in the office are going to notice you too. With a single promotional product you get yourselves noticed by so many possible. Is there a better and a more economical way of getting your business an identity. When more and more people start recognising your brand and become familiar with y6our organisation you have created an identity for your business then.

The otherwise tedious task of getting an identity for your business becomes much simpler with promotional products. They are the perfect solution for all brand-building requirements. But however there is one small thing that needs to be taken care of when you seek to give your brand an identity with promotional products. The quality of products that you use should be fair enough else you will end up giving your business the wrong identity that you will never want to happen.

This is because when you are not able to meet someone, you give out your business card to them and the card is what represents you to those people you have not met yet and the card creates your image in the other person's mind - and that's when the first impression is formed. So, if one wants to get more business, image should be improved first. A business card should always be based on a concept that is obvious to the viewer and th
t reflects the person's personality and nature of work.

America is the country that has some of the best companies in the world and some of the most outperforming CEOs like Bill Gates of Microsoft, Jack Welch of GE, John Chamber of Cisco and Tom Watson of IBM (who are all American). America has many of the best business opportunities available for entrepreneurship as well. This is why entrepreneurs like Bill Gates and Michael Dell became some of the richest people in the world.

Owing to all this business and rising opportunities, there is a lot of need for increasing the business potential and creating credibility for yourself and your business. This has to be done by marketing the business flawlessly. One of the many ways, besides online banners, TV ads, web ads and printed pamphlets is the business card, which is the simplest one and the one which gives you the most benefit as it is related to your own personality.

There are many ways in which one can get a business card. There are hundreds of websites on which cards can be designed manually as well as on existing templates and they are printed and delivered to the given address.

As there is a lot of business success and opportunities in America, it is observed that most of the websites which enable you to design and get the cards printed are also based there, thus making the country the one which prints the most business cards.

One of the best and most used website for designing cards is GotPrint, and is based in California. It enables you to design your own card by browsing the kind of profession you work in. Besides business cards you can also design flyers, letterheads, postcards, brochures, and many other marketing related products. After you have designed the card, you can either get it printed yourself or avail an online or regular printing service.

Another American card designing and printing website is iprint. This website has been in business for more than 10 years now and lets you choose from two printing options, that is either 1-2 colored cards or full colored ones with a background. There are many categories from which the background and theme can be chosen.

When we look at these websites and see the large scale on which they are working and the large number of clients who get their work done through them, we can say that America has the most extensive business card designing and printing services as well as a massive clientele.

Basic things about advertising that every entrepreneur should know

Advertising is made up of several activities that help promote your product or service. Advertising addresses the public and tries to influence their buying decisions. There are primary and secondary functions of advertising, but it all leads to trying to get customers to get in your store and buy your products or services. Let's go into a bit more detail about what advertising entails.

What is Advertising?

1. Advertising is writt
n and spoken messages that are directed to a target audience.

2. Advertising messages are persuasive – you're trying to convince your target audience to purchase a certain product or service.

3. The business that is selling the product or service is the one who advertises.

4. Advertising almost always requires cash – you must pay for the medium you are using. For example, you must pay the stadium or wherever you hang a poster. (Make sure you have this fee included in your poster printing budget.)

Advertising is any paid message that presents products or services of a certain business, and should present the product in a persuasive manner so as to entice the reader or listener to purchase the product.

Objectives of Advertising
The objective is to increase sales, get and maintain customers, and boost cash flow. However, it is also intended to brand a product, since branding can do more for sales than simply advertising it. When one thinks of specific items, they often think of a brand name rather than the product itself. For instance, when you say you need a Kleenex, you are actually asking for a tissue. The Kleenex brand has catapulted into the mainstream language so that it represents all types of tissues. That's a result of good advertising and good branding.

Advertising functions can be broken down into two groups. These are known as the primary and the secondary functions.

Primary Functions

1. Advertising assists in sales increases, because it promotes it to a bigger market. Advertising like flyers, brochures and television ads reach people that your business wouldn't be able to reach otherwise because of location. Advertising allows you to reach people out of your region and possibly lets you reach a nation of consumers.

2. Advertising persuades people to help them make their next purchasing decision.

3. Advertising helps salespeople and franchisees sell the product or service being featured.

4. Advertisements introduce new products to the market before they even hit store shelves. People are more likely to try a new item if they've seen it before. Many companies start advertising and branding a product before it reaches stores to give consumers plenty of time to learn about the new item and to create anticipation for the release of the product.

5. Advertising is used as a way to establish a relationship with consumers. People buy products they are familiar with and advertising builds that familiarity.

6. People's perception of advertised products or services is changed by products that are advertised. These products (and their brands) seem better and higher quality than those not advertised.

Secondary Functions

1. Advertising gives salespeople a backing to lean on. Salespeople's jobs are easier when they can point to an advertisement that shows how well the product or service works. Consumers also walk in with a preconceived notion that the product is already good because they saw it advertised before they got to the store.

2. Advertising helps companies attract better or more qualified employees. Just think of car dealerships – would you rather work for a dealership who didn't advertise so no one knew about it or would you rather work for a dealership that everyone knew about it?

Advertising has many objectives and functions that will help any business. As an entrepreneur, it's important that you implement an advertising strategy right away, even before you open your doors!

Online Jobs- Best Home based Business

The vast popularity of the Internet has made the possibility of online jobs a reality. These are essentially jobs which can be done over the Internet.

The vast popularity of the Internet has made the possibility of online jobs a reality. These are essentially jobs which can be done over the Internet. It is an effortless way to earn big bucks. The job seekers are usually freelancers who are just looking for part time work. These are usually people who have a lot of free tim
and want to earn a considerable amount of money. Most of them are looking for establishing a home based business as these online jobs do not need much of resources. One of the pre-requisites to start such a business is a computer with a fast Internet connection and basic computer knowledge.

Some of the people who are looking at these jobs as a lucrative option are students, retired persons and stay at home moms. Such people can earn a great deal of money through data entry, as these jobs do not need expertise in any field and can mostly be done by anybody with a fundamental knowledge of working with computers. Freelancers can also be experts in a field and those who prefer to work at the comfort of their homes. So where can we find these online jobs? There are many sites which offer a perfect platform for these home based jobs. These sites provide an interface between the buyers s and the service providers. They provide a diverse listings of jobs based on any area of expertise.

For example, there are jobs for copywriting, data entry, website designing, system administration, etc.; these sites generally work in a very easily understandable manner. There is usually an online job provider who is need of services and a job seeker who provides his/her services for the specified project. Projects are posted on these websites with the requirements, constraints and other specifications of the job and those interested can bid on the project. The project provider then reviews these bids and makes the decision based on some criteria.

The sites offering these online jobs usually charge a substantial percentage of the amount which is being paid for the job. This charge is levied only if it's a free registration and if it's a paid one then the site does not charge anything. These types of online jobs are proving to be a major hit on the World Wide Web for their simplicity and ease of use. Service providers are exposed to a variety of recruiters and the recruiters are in turn provided with a huge repository of manpower which they might not have access to otherwise.

The major convenience of working at freelance sites is that geographical barriers do not hamper the working of this system. Freelance sites also do not restrain the user to any one particular job. One individual can perform diverse jobs which do not even need to have any connection with each other. Hence we can conclude by saying that working at freelancing sites is on their way to becoming a rage on the Internet.

I teach hundreds of students this information everyday, and I always see the same questions over and over. So I thought I would put this article here so everyone knows the steps on how to start an online business. I cant go into too much details here as I am limited on space, so if you want the details you will have to go to my website.

But here is the basic steps:

  • find products to sell online
  • Find who is selling this product so you can affiliate with
them or find who will drop ship for you.
  • If you are doing affiliate website you can go to irs.gov and get an EIN FREE you can also just use your SSN.
  • If you are doing drop shipping you may want to get a business license, every state has their differences.
  • I am not a tax advisor so ask around, but I do my own taxes, which there isn't much anyways.
  • Next is getting a website up and running with your product on it or your affiliate links
  • Now time to advertise your website, there are hundreds of different ways to advertise you site, social, submit articles, forums, bookmarking, pay per click, search engine optimization, email listings (DO NOT SPAM), and tons more. Most of these are FREE as well!
  • tweak your site, update it, if no one is buying this product trash it, start over. If there is a certain product on your site not making you any money, but others are, toss that product out and try another. Could eve be as much as changing the image, or wording for that specific one!
  • After that takes off and all works well, start another website with a different product or niche
  • sit back and watch the money roll in (make sure you keep doing this because sooner or later, that specific product or that webpage will die.

Do I need a business license to run an affiliate website?

NO, you don't even need an EIN, you can use your SSN.

Do I have to pay taxes on the money I make?

YES, the United States government is greedy and is the largest scam around, they make money by you making and spending money! Isn't that a joke? Anyways, the amount of taxes paid is not very much at all in affiliate marketing. You should receive a 1099 form from the affiliate program if you have made over $600 from them in that year.

Do I need to know HTML to build a website?

NO, but you at least want to look at a few sample codes and such just so you know what it looks like. But the most you will be doing is copying and pasting HTML code to place ads on your website or blog.

Can I use free websites?

YES, but depends on the terms of service set by the provider. Whether they allow ads or not, what kind of content you can have, etc.

Can I start a blog instead of a website? YES, there are many of my students using a blog instead of a website, one thing great about this is easy to use and very search engine friendly. If you use a free blog some of them restrict what you can and cant do as far as ads, code types, etc.

How much money can I make?

There is no set amounts, this is no guarantee you will make these amounts, but I have seen numbers anywhere from $1000/mo. - $8,000/mo. There are claims of people making more and more, but those are the extremes, someone that found he perfect product, advertising, etc. You can follow their EXACT steps and not make those amounts, so I keep it reasonable and easy to make.

How long does it take before I start making money online?

This depends as well. You can make money in the first day you launch your website, and it could take months as well. This all depends on how easy it is do find your website. How much advertising you have done. I've seen them vary all the time, the average is about a week or 2 if you are doing something very specific, which I recommend, if you are doing something more broad, if will take longer.

Can you give us an example?

YES, I can give you a short example here, but I can't make a website here, so you can check out my website and I have a bunch of examples there.

example:

Make a website on "how to make a toga" give step by step instructions on how to make a toga, affiliate with companies that sell products you will need to use, sheets, scissors, maybe rope, etc. Also give them options to buy a book on this if you can find one. Place some other ads they maybe interested in that are still relevant, most likely your viewers are going to attend a toga party or host a toga party right? So give them some products for this, products that will help them host a toga party and also maybe some ideas on how to run their party. Also run some pay per click ads on this site maybe from google or yahoo and have them automatically generate ads on your website that are relevant. Now advertise this website on article sites, other blogs about parties, forums on parties, groups on parties, maybe make a video on how to make this toga and place it on youtube. Then if those few free ways don't work, toss an ad on google or yahoo yourself advertising your site, bid LOW, maybe $0.05-$0.20 to start with. and see what kind o profits you make before you start bidding higher. You spend $50/mo on advertising and make more than that great keep going, if you spend $50/mo on advertising and make less, lower you advertising and do ome more free techniques, still no good, trash the idea and move on.

Can I use the Toga idea?

YES, go for it, let me know if it works out for you, I know there is people searching for it.

You said you KNOW people are searching for it, are there ways we can find this information?

YES, there are many free ways and paid for ways to find this information, I like to use the free ways, but others like the paid ways.

What's the difference in the paid vs. free ways to see if someone is searching for this?

PAID = expensive and accurate and all in one website or program.

FREE = FREE and not as accurate, may have to go to 4 different websites to make your decision.

Do you charge on your website for the DETAILS?

NO, my website has all the details and is 100% FREE to use.

Processes usually comprise Inputs, Throughputs, and Output and Process mapping explores the resources needed and works on content and activities performed on the outcome.

You may have heard that process mapping is the same thing as flow charts. While they are similar, there are specific differences. However, many people still use the terms process mapping, flow charts and process charts interchangeably. It is an old technique that is really easy and simple to use in order to streamline your work. You will need experienced an
professional facilitators to help you with process mapping.

Process mapping can help you with anything in your life, but most people use it in their businesses to help keep all of their projects running smoothly and on track. A process map will help you visually see how you will get from point A to point B. It will show you the most productive way to get to your planned goal in the least amount of time. It is a great technique for businesses of any size and their employees.

As long as you have an experienced and professional facilitator doing the process mapping for you the results will be astounding. You will notice the difference between your current system and process mapping immediately. Everyone will benefit from it, and no one needs to be trained before utilizing this technique from an experienced process mapping facilitator.

Process Mapping For Achieving Your Goals –

A process map will first require you to establish what the exact project is. Identifying what your project is exactly will help you in your first step towards better planning and goal achievement. If you are working with a product this first step will be easy, but if you are working with a service you may have a more difficult time identifying your product. This is all right, as doing so will help you in your business for the rest of your business' life.

The process map will show you visually each step that needs to be taken in order to reach your goal for your product. This will be done in very small increments, as well as larger ones. It is pertinent that you include all of the information you have, even if you think it does not or will not effect your project. This will help you see the larger picture within the small increments of steps you need to take in order to reach your goal.

Be sure that each step, every piece of information, and each small goal will help you reach your large goal. All of your smaller steps should contribute in some way to what you need to have completed.

Process mapping will help you reach your goals faster, easier and without wasting any unnecessary time or money. It can help you with a team of employees, as well as with a team of managers or directors. It works with small businesses and large corporations. Saving time and money is probably already a part of your business goals, and adding process mapping will help you do just that.

Are You A Work Addict?

Posted by Admin | 6:32 AM

Work addiction is very common in our society today, yet it is not one that is not highly recognised.

An interesting article in the March edition of The Success Report published by Success Technologies stated:

"Of all the addictions receiving attention today (including alcohol, drugs, gambling and food) work addiction is perhaps the least recognised and possibly the most dangerous.

This is because a work addiction is a compulsion that is rewarded and reinforced by society. In particular, it's rewarded by corpora
ions that encourage overwork as the norm. The lure of work is increasing as innovative, flexible companies use and reward fewer people to get more accomplished.

Yet work addiction should not be confused with hard work; So how can you tell if you're just working hard or have crossed the line into work addiction?

When work begins to hurt, you're addicted, say specialists. But how can you spot the work addict among your colleagues? According to Workaholics Anonymous, these characteristics are common to compulsive over-workers:

The Characteristics of Work Addicts

They are usually in a hurry
They have a strong need to control
They expect perfection of themselves and others around them
They have difficulty in relationships
They forget birthdays and anniversaries
They are unable to relax and have fun
They are impatient and irritable
They suffer from physical problems usually brought on because of stress, poor eating habits and lack of exercise such as headaches, fatigue, indigestion, allergies, stomach upset, ulcers, chest pain, shortness of breath, nervous tics and dizziness
Addicted workers often try to do several things at once. They eat breakfast while balancing figures, return phone calls while typing on the computer, or read the business and trade papers while going over meeting notes. Work addicts also feel indispensable and are consequently unable to delegate.

Yet as bad as work addiction can get, there is hope for the work addict:

Steps toward personal recovery

Take a time management course.

Reorganise your life so that work becomes proportionate to family, friends and self. Switch your focus to relaxation, exercise, nutrition and spiritual development.

Slow your work pace and also learn to eat, talk, walk and drive slower.

Learn to relax through massage or relaxation exercises.

Work in moderation and keep regular hours.

Set boundaries between work and personal life.

Strengthen family ties through shared activities and rituals.

Renew old acquaintances and join social clubs that don't include co-workers.

Learn to live in the present, truly listen to others and as trite as it may sound stop and smell the roses. "

The Final Word
Work should be enjoyable and satisfying, not just a means to earn a living. It just makes sense, attract only those looking for what you have to offer.Renegade network marketers have been tuning into the power of the internet as a fertile lead generation source and many are experiencing the difference in the quality of prospects. It makes a difference when
a prospect actually seeks you out instead of you virtually harassing someone to the point of coming across as a desperate marketer. While building an internet presence for you network marketing business is important - website, blog, Web 2.0 real estate, don't forget there are other powerful advertising mediums you can take advantage of which when done right, can draw prospects into your network marketing business like a magnet.Newsletter AdvertisingOne of these is newsletter advertising and it was one of the prime modes of promoting offers several years ago. The truth is, despite the new wave of Web 2.0 internet, newsletter advertising is still an extremely powerful attracting marketing process. However, there are a couple of important aspects you need to be aware of before parting with your hard-earned cash. One of the biggest mistakes advertisers make is placing their ad in newsletters plastered with a "million" other advertisements. Not very effective. For maximum exposure and benefit, you need to stand out from the crowd and there are two solutions to achieve this. The first is:- placing a solo ad and- putting yourself in front of the right audienceThat's it. A solo ad is extremely effective but when it's placed in a newsletter in front of a targeted audience that is, an audience looking for what you have to offer, the response can be magnetic.A solo ad is effective on it's own because there are no other competing ads within it, but when it's placed in a newsletter catering to people looking for a home business, and who are regular subscribers to it, then you have a fertile lead generation source.Renegade network marketers like the idea of attraction marketing because the prospects who come into their funnel are generally from free traffic. This article will go over the basics of Google AdWords including what you need to do to join, and what you need to do to be profitable in this marketing plan.

One of the latest online money making tactics is to use Google AdWords. This program has the potential to improve your cash flow, however, you need to know how to proceed before you can make a realistic estimate about the kind of money you will be able to earn.

Google AdWords is an advertising program that is targeted at merchants. It is an potent m
thod to establish your company's online existence. It is very cost effective with an one time start-up fee of only $5.00 followed by a per click-through cost of between one cent and $100. This price will be based on what you are willing to pay.

If you want to target a specific content genre or website, then you will pay a minimum of $0.25 per 1000 impressions. To help you initiate the most effective site-targeted ad campaign, AdWords also grants you with a development tool to help you build your ad.

Creating Your Google Adwords Ad

While you are free to design and comprise your own AdWords ad, there are editorial restrictions that apply to this program. The first is that you must use conventional punctuation in your ads. You are not permitted to use an exclamation in your title, nor are you permitted to use unnecessarily repeated punctuation. You can only use one exclamation mark in your entire ad, so be selective about what is the most exciting thing you want to stress.

In addition to using standard punctuation you have to use standard capitalization. You are not allowed to use all capital letters in words for emphasis, such as FREE or BREAKING NEWS. You can, however, use all caps if your ad contains an acronym such as CPA or LPN. You can also use a capital letter for each new word in your URL address for example www.ArticlesFactory.com is permissible.

You also will need to use proper grammar, and spelling. This guideline help to improve the grade of ads allotted by Google AdWords, and gives the program legitimacy. In addition to maintaining a strict standard of formatting, succinctness is also required. AdWord titles are limited to 25 characters, and ads are limited to two lines of text each containing a limitation of 35 characters and an URL address with no more than 35 characters. These additional restrictions help to maximize the effectiveness of the ad space used.

Maximize the Benefits of Google AdWords

To heighten your benefits with Google AdWords, you will need to brainstorm advertisements that meet all the requirements that they set out, as well as create a concise ad that tells your potential customers exactly what you offer.

To get an idea of what other businesses are doing surf the web looking for AdWords displays. See how accepted ads have been worded, and evaluate how you react to their wording. If you are enticed to click on the advertisement then you might want to consider using a similar format for your ad.

This article contains information about using flyers as an effective tool for advertising and marketing your business.

You have set up your business. Now you want to market it. You come across several ideas and marketing concepts to be put forth in the advertisement world. You then start worrying - where to begin or where to go, since advertising is not as easy as it might seem at times. Time is the most adamant resource available today and marketing, the trickiest trick. Keeping that in mind you outline your strateg
and enter the world of advertisement with flyers – one of the traditional yet most effective advertising tools to boost any kind of marketing.

Flyers – the name itself gives such a positive vibe that it's simply irresistible in the world of business and marketing. It promises you the best assistance to fulfill your business requirements. Restricted to some printing and white paper marketing techniques, flyers provide unlimited scope for your business or any venture to grow at a breakneck speed. With effective and well-designed flyers, you not only reach your potential customers but also get sponsors. But advertising with the help of flyers could be a tedious task, if done ignorantly. So a proper know-how of flyers (and how to use them) is must, since you can still be apprehensive even though you are using your flyers properly and spending dollars and dollars on them. Flyers need much more than just having dollars to throw at them. A well planned strategy and budget friendly approach are the most important and basic requirements for designing effective flyers. So to begin, here are few ideas that could get you off to a good start in making flyers a winner for marketing your business:

Know your Business – Before getting any flyers for your business you must know what your business is all about. This could help you to decide the amount of work required in terms of number of pages or prints and what each page or each print should constitute. In situ, flyers sometimes help you in deciding your business whereabouts.

Designing Flyers – Now that you know what your business is all about and what else you need for it, designing flyers should be your next step. Flyers, once designed, will market your services in the long run. You just have to follow some simple yet effective guidelines to put the best flyers in place. For that you need to consider some important points:

Layout of flyers – A flyer should always have some big text title/s to attract customers. Following the title it must have some graphics to be embedded with a 2-3 paragraph description about your business. And, at the bottom – your contact information.

Title – Title must be drafted creatively so that it attracts more and more customers.

Deciding on Graphics – Any business owner must put emphasis on the graphics section, since it accounts for at least 30% of successful marketing. The things to be considered here are choosing colors, crafting scripts, and using suitable inks, which give a reflection of your business.  You can also put a graphics title below the graphics to market your needs, since in this world of globalization we often refrain from reading large texts. So a flyer with graphics can do wonders.

Deciding on text – A well researched and investigated text in printing gives a 'technical' voice to your business, thus making it more appealing. But this must be achieved via a softly-softly approach. Just don't start praising yourself directly. Start with such words that could make clients start beating down your doors.

Extra is always better – You can always think of adding some extra element to flyers, as this would help you to market your services in a much better way and give your competitors a run for their strategies.

After doing all this never forget to include your contact information at the bottom of the flyer, since this would help you to stay connected with other businesses, clients and customers. Now that you have made your flyers - a great marketing tool - start distributing it with the help of family and friends at events, functions, around your neighborhood and many other places you can think of. And lastly, enjoy the benefits!.

This article contains information about business cards, which are key tools required to win clients and increase your business.

A business card that finds its place in the trash as soon as you turn your back is not going to help you much. Your business card is very crucial when you want to increase your contacts and spread your business. It can play a key role in the success or otherwise of your business.

To be an effective business tool, a business card needs to be truly outstanding. It is very important t
know the secrets of designing a business card that will win you clients and earn you profits in jet speed.

Secrets of an effective business card

An uncomplicated and neat design proclaims that you care about the first impression. A design devoid of clutter is sure to declare your professionalism to anybody who lays his hand on your business card.

The first and the most important purpose of designing a business card, is to make sure that people contact you. The contact information should be very clearly given out in the business card. We find loads of business cards that have extravagant color schemes and stylish fonts completely hiding the essential contact details. It is advice that even poorly designed business cards can take. Even if you cannot afford expensive materials, make sure that your business card will let people contact you.

The size of a business card should not be more than that of standard business cards. If people have difficulty in keeping it inside a wallet or holder, it is likely to get lost.

The company name should be present in bold letters so that the name gets firmly locked inside the reader's mind. The font should not be too flashy or fancy, as that might create an adverse effect in the mind of conventional business people.

The card will have an added edge if, the name of the company is accompanied by a visual identifier for the company. It can be the emblem or logo of the company.

A business card where the nature of the business or the operations of the company are mentioned in three or four punctuated words just beneath the company name, provides the reader with every information at the first glance itself. These three or four descriptive words should preferably be in capital letters but in smaller and lighter font than the company name. The words should be crisp and pertinent so that they can hit the bull's eye. Business cards with descriptive words generally impress people and thus stay in wallets as well as in minds.

The style of the card should perfectly go with your business and industry. It should also match your personal temperament. If you have an aquarium shop and are handing out a somber gray and white business card, it will not make the desired effect. On the contrary, if you hand out a card with a light blue base and two small deep blue fish partially overlapping one another at the bottom left corner, the card is bound to create a long-lasting effect on the reader's mind.

A business card is as important as the tie you wear and the cellular phone you carry, if not more. It is very important for a business card to make a good first impression. So, go for a clear, subtle and crisp business card to ensure that it wins you outstanding business.

When it comes to marketing your product or service, the word "free" can take on magical proportions – causing people to open their mind and wallets in droves.  This article gives you some free advice on how to develop freebies.

Out of all 616,500 words in the English language, one of the most powerful – if not the most powerful – is the word "free."

In fact, when it comes to marketing your product or service, "free" can take on near magical proportions.
It's amazing how
our little letters can open doors and pocketbooks the world over.

Whether you're giving away a free newsletter, free samples, buy-one-get-one-free, or a free widget, use the word "free" in your advertising materials, and you can watch your response rates soar.

By now you may be thinking that offering something for free sounds like a smart idea.  Well, before you do, here are some guidelines:

Make your free offer something of value.
Never give away junk…it just ticks people off. Not only that, but then they'll tell other people how cheesy your freebie was.  You could end up doing yourself a lot more harm than good.  Free shipping, free booklets, free pens, free service…make sure your offer is quality, desirable, and usable.

Get something in return.
Most freebies are made to either generate a sale, a referral, or something else of value to the company making the offer - even if it's a simple email address or customer goodwill.  Decide what you want to get in return before you decide what you're going to give away for free.

Don't attach strings.
The freebie itself needs to be truly free – otherwise, you risk losing repeat customers.  When you attach strings to a free offer, you become suspect in the customer's mind. Do you really think they're going to continue doing business with you if they don't trust you?

Make the offer relative to your brand.
Your free offer becomes even more powerful if it builds your brand in some way.  For instance, when people go to my website and sign up for my weekly ezine, they receive a free, downloadable e-booklet called "11 Quick Ways to Build Business."  Hopefully, they find it valuable - but it's also valuable to me from a branding standpoint because it reiterates the fact that my website is about helping small businesses grow.  If you can, tie your freebie into your brand.

Keep it simple.
Don't complicate your offer.  If you make it difficult, you will chase people away, and leave them with a bad taste in their mouths regarding your company.  Keep it real, and make it easy.

Deliver.
If you are offering a freebie that has to be sent to the customer, send it in a timely and efficient manner. Take this opportunity to dazzle your customer with efficiency.   Nothing impresses a customer more than a company that keeps its promises.

Follow up.
Again, we offer freebies not only to make sales, but also to build repeat business.  Don't be shy about following up your free offer with another offer, or checking to see how they liked your free offer.

Cater to the skeptic.
As much as free can be a powerful consumer trigger, it can also turn some people off. So if you're in a business where there are a lot of skeptics, experiment with offering an some alternative to free that still gives an incentive, but doesn't scare them away…like a money-back guarantee, or a discount.

Can you think of ways that you can start putting the power of "free" to work for your small business?  Because in this day when money is tight, I believe "free" might become even more powerful than ever.

Have you ever wondered whether or not you should include radio advertising in your marketing mix?  In this article, you'll learn some very specific reasons why radio is a good buy for small businesses from a 25-year advertising industry expert.

As someone who has worked on both the creative and executive ends of advertising for 25 years, I can tell you that radio is one of my favorite mediums.

Why?  Because radio truly is the "theater of the mind."  Radio uses voices, music and sound effec
s (sfx) to create moods and images that spark the imagination in very different ways than print or television ads do.

Advertise on radio, and you have the opportunity to deliver a powerful message to a specific group of listeners.  Radio stations know exactly who their audiences are, so if know who your target customer is, radio gives you the perfect opportunity to reach him/her.  Find the station with your demographic, get a sales rep who will partner with you, and get ready to mine for gold.

Another great thing about radio is that it's everywhere.  At home, in the car, at the office, at the ballpark...wherever your customer is, radio isn't far away.

And have you ever noticed how loyal radio listeners are to their stations?  Seriously loyal.  Bordering on fanatical loyal.  Mention a popular radio station's call letters in a group of people and you will inevitably hear someone say "Oh, I listen to them all the time!"

Radio stations are also strong on community involvement.  Whether it's broadcasting a live remote at the grand opening of the new car dealership, or sponsoring a local charity event, no other medium touches listeners quite the same way radio does.

In conclusion, here are a few quick facts about radio you can use to impress your friends and family.

Radio's return on investment (ROI) is much higher (some studies say as high as 49%!) than television's ROI.  Much of this can be attributed to the fact that television is much more expensive to produce and run than radio, so the money you spend to produce and run radio is much lower.

96% of people who drive or ride in a car use the radio.

In-car radio listening averages two hours and 12 minutes weekdays, and two hours and five minutes on weekends.

43% of drivers leave their car radios set to one station.

There are 5.6 radios per U.S. household.

There are over 13,500 registered radio stations in the U.S.

Okay, I'll stop...you get the picture. Radio is everywhere! And if you want the most bang for your advertising buck, radio is still one of your best resources.

If your advertising and marketing materials are touting your product's or service's "features" instead of its "benefits," you're probably missing out on sales opportunities.  Learn how to turn your features into benefits, so you can turn those no-sales into cash.

One of the most common mistakes small businesses make in their advertising and marketing is focusing on the features of their product or service instead of its benefits.

Sometimes this happens because a small business ca
't afford an ongoing relationship with an ad agency and ends up doing their advertising and marketing in-house or on a sporadic basis.  Other times, it's just because they simply get bad advice.

Do you ever make this mistake?  If so, don't feel bad...you're in good company.

Because even the most seasoned copywriters sometimes get "features" and "benefits" mixed up - but there's really nothing hard about it.  The simple difference between the two is that "features" focus on the facts about the product/service (like specifications), while "benefits" focus on the customer's experience of the product/service (how it will make them feel).

For example, let's say you were selling orthodontic and cosmetic dentistry services.  Your features list might look something like this:

-  Over 30 years in business
-  Offers a broad range of orthodontic and cosmetic services
-  Provides excellent customer service

To translate these features into benefits, you need to put yourself in your customer's shoes.   Think about why those features would be important to the customer; how those features would make their lives better, richer, easier, longer; what emotions those features would make them feel.   Then we'd turn the above features into benefits that would read something like this:

-  You can trust us to take good care of your teeth
-  We can make you feel great about your smile and yourself
-  We care deeply about our patients and treat you with the utmost respect

Why is concentrating on features bad, and concentrating on benefits good?  Well, take another look at the features...lots of companies can make those very same claims (i.e. experience, selection, customer service).  They do nothing to set you apart.

But look at the benefits section:  These get to the core of what your customer needs to hear in order to buy your product/service.  Benefits appeal to them on an emotional level...the level where most people make their buying decisions.

But before you start developing your sales message, here's one watch out....

Be sure to focus on one or two benefits.  If you try to cram as much into your message as you can, your customer will be confused, overwhelmed, and won't get what you're trying to say anyway.  Remember and repeat after me...the simpler the message the better.  Find your core message and sell the heck out of it, but don't muddy up the waters with too much information.

Perhaps most importantly, focusing on the benefits makes your advertising more about your customer, and your customer's desires.

And that's one powerful message.

It is very clear that the popularity of PPC ads is not a fad but an exciting development that is not only here to stay, but one which smart entrepreneurs are using to make money online.

In the offline days long before the World Wide Web and PPC (Pay per click) ads came along, publishers as well as radio and TV stations experimented with something called PPO (pay per order) and PPR (pay per response) or PPL (pay per lead) advertising. As the names suggest, these were ads where the advertisers either paid per lead generated or or
er generated. But the truth is that these ads never really took off and were never widely accepted. So what happened in the case of online PPC (pay per click) ads? What caused these kind of advertisements to become so wildly popular as they are today? Google Launched The PPC RevolutionTo answer some of these questions it is useful to go back in time a little and trace the origin of the popularity of PPC ads. There is the amazing story of well known search engine giant Google which has experienced phenomenal growth within such a short time of existence. The Google fairy tale is still a fascinating read even today. Started by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were still students at Stanford, for a long time this venture grew tremendously in popularity and usage and was very widely used and yet had not found a way to generate revenue. It was obvious that charging a fee for the use of their revolutionary search engine was not the right model. That search for a way to generate revenues ended when Google was already receiving millions of visitors daily and the company just found a convenient and non-intrusive way to display advertising. It is clear that the founders of Google realized quite early on in the game, what many others have not seen to date. That is the fact that although the Internet is widely seen as an improvement of the Television, this is not true and the web is actually an adavanced telephone more than anything else. This is easily proved by the fact that TV and the web are in fact two very different mediums. TV can accommodate a lot of advertising comfortably, but advertising on the web is usually viewed as a nuisance and intrusion into people's privacy. This is the main reason why PPC ads took off quickly even when a similar concept offline never really proved attractive to most publishers and advertisers alike. Google looked for a way to carry advertising online to its' huge audience without intruding and came up with the idea of displaying only relevant advertisements based on searches on its' popular search engine. The idea was simple but extremely powerful and meant that somebody using keywords to search for information would end up with the organic results of their search on one side and on the other relevant advertisements on the same subject. The next problem they had to solve was the fact that based on the huge audience they had, they would be justified in charging very high advertising rates. However the market accustomed to cheap online advertising was unlikely to accept those ad rates. And that is how PPC ads came into use at Google. By charging only for click throughs to the site, advertisers were very happy to pay huge sums as long as it was for actual visits to their sites from people who had clicked on the Google PPC ads because they will usually have been able to generate an even larger sum of money from orders placed by a percentage of the visitors who arrived at their sites. The rest as they say, is history. The Google PPC concept rapidly grew in popularity and is today by far, the most popular form of advertising on the web. Others Join The PPC PartyAs you read this, there are numerous other online companies and sites that offer PPC ads. They make lots of sense because advertisers can easily measure their response and sales revenue against what they have spent on advertising. Today there are a number of interesting search programs that include PPC advertising and are well worth taking a look at because they are capable of providing the perfect solution for many online marketing and advertising problems.

The business card has been an immutable part of the business world for many generations. Originally they were plain and staid. The advent of color business card printing then brought us more engaging color business cards. Oftentimes, cards are placed in one large pile or stuck in a drawer. Sometimes they get inserted into a rolodex. Should someone rummage through that pile the odds are high that the most colorful card will catch the peruser's eye.

Color business cards no longer break the budget. Business card printing has be
ome quite efficient and economical. This is especially true for longer runs. Failure to have a business card on hand sends a less than professional message. The convenience of both storefront and online printers removes any excuse for not having a plentiful supply. Showing up for a meeting without enough on hand can prove to be a serious faux paux.

Many have sought creative additions to the traditional card. Printing today can put words on just about any object. Innovative marketers put their message on a wide array of useful gadgets. These can range from notepads to paper weights. The goal is to be more accessible than the business card which could be buried deep in a drawer. The one that catches the eye first most likely gets the call.

Obviously, this route can prove more expensive than business card printing. Many use both options and selectively give out the creative objects to the hottest prospects. At trade shows today it is almost expected you have such goodies to hand out. Putting both color business cards and a small gift with logo increases your odds greatly of being remembered. A traditional black and white card will most likely end up at the bottom of the pile.

Advanced printing options now allow for Color business cards which can really catch the eye. These can incorporate holographic images or other such attention grabbing elements. The key is to stand out among the crowd of other business cards in the pile. The human eye is naturally drawn to color and movement. Make sure you put enough thought into the design element of your business cards. Failure to do so prevents your business from putting its best foot forward.

The next time you go shopping for business card printing consider the importance of that small piece of paper. First impressions are extremely important. A small investment in attractive color business cards often will pay off many times over through increased sales. Just as you wake up each morning and dress for success, let your business cards be a part of your company's winning outfit.

Think about all of the promotional mugs you have seen in your lifetime and all the advertising they have accomplished for the company who created them. Promotional mugs can also go anywhere your business goes. Whether you display and give them away in a storefront, give them to everyone attending a luncheon, or offer them to everyone who visits your company's booth at a conference, your business will potentially be making a sale. Plastic promotional mugs are much lighter and safer to transport, but any promotional mugs can be taken anywhere at anytime.

Lastly, promotional mugs have the space on them to place a lot of critical information about your business. An eye-catching logo, your company's name, a witty quote or slogan, as well as a phone number or web address will all fit on any promotional mugs. If you want to make money with articles and don't want to write the articles yourself, you will need to find a good freelance writer. As you might imagine, finding a freelance writer who does quality work can be a time consuming affair. However, it will be time well spent if you can locate a writer who can produce well-written articles in an efficient manner.

Test Before You Invest

A word of advice: when trying out a new writer, only submit a job order for a small batch of articles to begin with. U
til you can be sure that you are receiving quality articles, you don't want to invest a lot of money for material that is not up to your standards. Keep in mind that just because a writer advertises themselves as an expert doesn't mean they are suitable for your particular type of writing project.

For instance ,a writer might be perfectly proficient in writing essays or reports. But, if your area of need is poetry or verse type writing, you may end up with material that is less than satisfactory. Freelance writers tend to take on projects in many different areas, especially in these difficult economic times. So, it is crucial that you find out in advance if the writer you are hiring can create the exact type of content that you need.

How to Locate A Freelance Writer

There are many different websites that will allow you to locate a quality freelance writer. Here you will be able to post your budge and project specifications and receive a bid or price quote in return. A few of these websites include:

Guru
Elance
Rent-A-Coder
Warrior Forum
Sitepoint
And many others . . .

Request A Writing Sample

Always request writing samples, before hiring a freelance writer, so that you can judge their level of skill. As I mentioned above, you want the type of writer who can provide you with the particular type of article that you need. If the writer sends you a stupendous news-type piece and you are looking for a more creative, fictional type article, please do not hire them! Shop around until you find a freelance writer that is perfect for your needs.

You Get What You Pay For

Remember, you get what you pay for. If you are willing to pay a little bit extra for each article, you will tend to get more bids from writers who will produce quality work. Your goal is to inform, entertain, and hook your website visitors so that they will return to read more of your content. Each visitor is a chance to make money with your articles.

Even though the initial outlay for a 500 word article may seem a bit steep, in the long run, your investment in quality content will pay off.

Nothing else can put a smile on your face quite like a mob flash dance made of several hundred strangers when you?re least expecting it. On January 15th, London?s Liverpool Street Station was transformed into a massive dance floor thanks to a well known mobile phone service provider.

The tagline, "Life?s for Sharing," is exactly how you feel after watching the viral video that was shot with hidden cameras. What begins with a handful of people quickly molds into an entire train station gettin? down (grandmas and mohawk ro
kers alike) to the upbeat music blaring overhead. Intrigued onlookers, no doubt questioning their sanity, filmed the whole event via cell phones to later share with family and friends. Simply put, a totally free alternative advertising stunt executed perfectly.

Kudos to the mobile phone service, and their advertising agency, for giving us something to laugh at and talk about . . . which was probably the point. These type of alternative advertising campaigns really allow people think outside the silos (is it online marketing, guerrilla marketing, out of home advertising, etc.) and instead focused on building a connection between the experience and the brand, using all the relevant tools at their disposal.

Although many people are criticizing both the brand and the alternative advertising company for using regurgitated material, the fact that cannot be argued is that they were able to get huge numbers of people together in a way that makes us all feel good just by watching it is a success. After all, the very message here is that the mobile phone service provider makes it possible for customers to share any meaningful moment with the people that matter most.

If you'll be distributing promotional products or promotional items at your home office or at a convention booth/table, it is important to think about displaying these products.

Many forget this vital step, and end up laying their products on a large pile on the table, which is inefficient and looks sloppy. Instead, consider your options and be prepared. You've spent a lot of money on getting your p
omotional products
branded perfectly so why not display them accurately?

The first display method isn't really a display at all. I like to call it the hand-out method. With this type of "display," You keep your promotional products under the table and only hand them out to people who stop at your table to talk or customers who make purchases. This is a useful approach if you have larger and more expensive promotional items. Otherwise, people will just take one (or two or three) because they want the item, even though they'll have no real interest in your company. You can also hold a few items and walk out into the crowd to distribute and call attention to your booth at a fair or convention.

Of course, you can always try the traditional approach to displaying your promotional products and opt for baskets. Large, shallow baskets usually work best, but it is important to find containers that are appropriate for the size of your item. Always remember to test out your product display before purchasing by taking a few samples with you to the store. Those pretty silver baskets look great on the shelves, but if they're a half-inch too short for your pens, they won't be very functional.

When setting up a display with larger items that don't need a basket, such as mugs, keep the focus on your company. Turn all of the items facing outward so that your name or logo appears clearly, and make sure someone is in charge of keeping the promotional products stocked so that you don't run out halfway through the year or, even worse, halfway through a convention!

Themes are also a good idea, and can lend themselves to some fun promotional products. When this is the case, go the extra mile with your display, and you'll attract more customers and interest in your business and its services. For example, if you want to give away promotional pens and your theme is luau, you can purchase brightly colored hurricane glasses to hold them. At the end of the day, give away the glasses to the last few people to make clean up and storage a breeze.

If nothing else, you can at least cover the bottom half of some shoe boxes in wrapping paper to hold your promotional items. Doing these little steps shows that you've planned ahead for a more thoughtful display, instead of simply throwing items on a table. Functional displays will help to promote your business even more! For further information on corporate business gifts, items and custom printed advertising marketing products why not visit the market leading online suppliers today. Top online promotional gifts suppliers can provide a fast and efficient service and more often than not can provide highly competitive quotations with the hour unlike the traditional offline promotional products companies.

What does Internet millionaire Howard Moreland know that the
rest of us don't?

Howard says he wasted 21 years and $4.4 million paying for
advertising that he could have gotten for free. And that
meant throwing away lots and lots of profits. But now he
says he's "uncovered the best kept secret to advertising
most effectively and for free."

And it's a secret that Howard says has made him $1.7 million
in less than 9 short months ... and over $14,270 in a recent
5ฝ day-span alone.
Rather than keep this secret all to
himself, Howard Moreland has decided to share it with the
rest of us mere Internet mortals.

Without a doubt, Howard makes some pretty bold claims. In
his best-selling e-Book "My SUPER Free Ads Secret," he tells
us how to: 1. Instantly place over 200 million ads online
free; 2. Place ads in newspapers that would ordinarily cost
up to $100 an ad, but starting below 89ข each; and 3. Place
full gloss-color space and display ads for whatever you're
selling but starting for nearly 80% off to as much as 95%
off what everyone else must pay. Plus he offers a wealth of
other information that Internet marketers would likely find
quite useful and valuable.

Howard Moreland's claims are bold indeed. But they are
intriguing nonetheless, especially for Internet marketers
who are desperately searching for effective ways to keep
their Internet advertising costs down as much as possible,
while still maximizing their profits. And as attractive as
cheap advertising may sound, it pales in comparison to the
prospect of getting advertising that's both free and
effective.

That's exactly what it can be--and should be, according to
Howard. He asserts that in his e-Book "My SUPER Free Ads
Secret," he explains exactly how to be "instantly put ahead
of your competition and your industry as you'll be able to
reach 100 millions of potential customers and clients for
whatever you're selling." And best of all, "Since there's no
costs, you stand to lose nothing -- but since your reach is
so vast, you stand to make an instant 'killing!'"

Pretty compelling stuff. But are Howard Moreland's claims
just exaggerated hype? Or are they the real deal? If they
are the real deal, then his e-Book "My SUPER Free Ads
Secret" could prove to be an Internet marketer's dream come
true in terms of minimizing advertising costs while
maximizing profits. You can judge for yourself, and get

Promotional pens are the perfect giveaway that can get left behind and continue doing sterling work for your business.

Nicholson Bake once was overhead to say - Rarely do pens go dry in restaurants. And, you ask – "What does that have to do with promotional pens"?  The fact of the matter is that it has a lot to do with promotional pens because one of the most often "left behind" items is a pen.  Pens are most often left in those places where they have been used to write a check or sign a credit car

Restaurants are prime collectors of pens and so they are also sharing your promotional pens with customers who do not have one with them.  The customer who has a borrowed pen is very likely to accidentally put that borrowed pen back in their pocket or purse and voila'" - your promotional pen is marketing your business for you again.

Now, if pens are the most forgotten, lost or left behind items, almost in the world, it stands to reason that they are also maybe one of the most often found items in the world too.  If you have your name and business info on a promotional pen, your pen may travel around the world just by being left somewhere and then being found again.

There have been experiments about how far a message in a bottle will really travel and how many people will have found it during its travels and set it back on course.  This would be an interesting experiment to do with a promotional pen, just to verify that when someone leaves a pen somewhere it is more than likely going to be picked up and used by its new owner –the finder.

A logical conclusion to make from this example is that the better the quality of the promotional pen, the longer it will last.  The longer it lasts, the more free advertising you will get from it, no matter who the current owner happens to be.  So from this conclusion, you might decide the next time you use promotional pens as a giveaway item, to consider buying an "extended life policy" on it, so to speak by increasing their quality.

One of the difficult things about buying quality promotional pens is that it is hard to tell from a picture or description in a catalogue or on the internet exactly what you can expect in terms of quality.  It is sad to say but, cost really doesn't tell you about quality in all circumstances.  What you can do though, to up the quality of your promotional pens prior to buying them, is to ask the promotional item company to send you a preview sample.  Many companies provide this preview service and it is wise to take them up on it when buying promotional items.

If you think you are going to ask to preview the promotional pens you think you want to buy, give yourself a little more time in your planning.  This is especially so if you have a deadline for the pens such as a special promotion or sale etc. Mailing the pens takes time as well as your preview of them is also a little time consuming.

If you don't like the promotional pens when they arrive on preview, you have to spend more time researching pens, previewing them and making the purchase. If you have a deadline you are working toward, it is good plan to start selecting ad previewing pens about two months before the event.  If there is no deadline, you can take your time in selecting.

Many spend large sums with cards and this shows how important they are in society. For example, in England, an estimated one billion pounds is used every year to buy the cards.

Greeting cards can be themed and many have maintained this tradition. For example, Christmas cards will have all the aspects that show that it is Christmas. In businesses, many companies will send our cards to customers at least to maintain the relations. Staff of a company will also receive cards from their employer to uplift their morale. Clearly, there are so many uses of cards. When you receive a card, you are glad and quickly look to see who has been thinking about you. You will feel loved and happy. Therefore, love is spread in many ways and this is a good way to do it. Cards are cheap and affordable to all people. However, if you wish to have a more expensive version, there is a lot to choose from. Make sure to choose those designs that will please the recipient. When you feel like you want to do something more personal, you can create your very own card. Look for guides to help you on this. There is nothing more heartfelt than putting your time to make a card.

Greeting cards and mainly used to show our sentiments and, they really play a major role in making our relationships better. The most interesting thing about cards is
that they come in various colors and designs. There are so many companies that are dedicated to providing all kinds of cards you wish to send. They are also packaged in an attractive way to make sure that they make a good impact. There are thousands of companies that produce such cards on a daily basis. Many are mass produced while others are just hand made.

Individuals who make greeting cards personalize them to achieve the desired look in a more traditional way. They then distribute them to the various markets. New webmasters often hold the mistaken belief, that the more banner ads they
have on their site, the more money they will make. They blanket their sites
with them, hoping, that the more banners people see, the better the chance,
that someone will actually click on them.

What they don't understand, however, is that they are actually driving
traffic away, by making their sites unattractive and slow. The banner ads
that were supposed generate income drive away potential customers.

Do you like banner ads? Now, as
yourself the question: "Why do you think,
that others would feel different than you do?"

While large ads may be successful in magazines, newspapers and telephone
books, what person would wants them to consume his or her bandwidth on the
web? Isn't the Internet already slow enough?

Why do you think that one of the most popular sections on our website is the
one that covers programs to eliminate banners and pop-up windows? Many
people are sick of obnoxious, in-you-face advertising. They are fed up with
the useless clutter of ads filling most websites.

No long ago, we removed all the banner ads at our site, leaving only text
links. The results were that we saw dramatic increase in both traffic and
revenue. Removing the banners increased both our popularity and our profits.
Amazingly enough, not one person wrote back to us and complained about the
banners being removed.

Now you may be asking yourself, "Why do advertisers use banner ads, if they
are so unpopular with the public?"

The answer is simple: Name Recognition!

The truth of the matter is advertisers don't really care if people buy from
your site as long as at some point in time, people remember the product or
service and buy it.

Think about it. You annoy your visitors with dozens of ads about some
dot-com, causing them to flee your site. Later on, the same visitors
remember those ads and go to the site directly. The company makes a sale,
and they don't even have to pay the person, who advertised it.

There are some very popular sites on the Internet with huge affiliate
programs. You can find their banners everywhere. You might think that it
would be a cinch to make money off such sites by simply placing one of their
banners on your site, but guess again. With so many ads, people don't need
your banners to find them. Most people have bookmarked them already. To
effectively advertise such popular sites, you need to target your readers
with custom reviews or inform people about specific sales and promotions so
that they feel compelled to click on the link immediately.

Now, I am not here to tell you that removing the banners off your site will
make you an instant success. Without compelling content on your site, you
still may not see any changes in traffic. A site that is nothing more than a
series of ads is unlikely to be successful, regardless of what form the
advertising the webmaster uses.

I am not suggesting that everyone should remove banners from their site
either. Indeed, it would be foolish for the owner of a popular site to
remove paid advertising that is generating income. If advertisers are
willing to pay up front for banner ads, or if you have banner ads that are
performing well, by all means, keep them!

What I am suggesting, however, is that if you have banner ads that aren't
generating income that you expected, you might think about removing or
replacing them. Consider text-based adverting with compelling reviews about
the products or services. Give your readers something more than just flashy
slogans or pictures of beautiful models. Provide your visitors with reasons
why they actually need a product or service, so that they buy it from your
site now, rather than later.

Instead of simply placing a banner on your site for a site where people can
buy a product, write an informative article or review about the product, and
then tell your readers where they can find a great deal on it.

Advertising

Direct Response marketing is accountable. It
s advertising you can justify and track. Not only is direct response marketing measurable but it can easily be adapted to fit your advertising budget.

The heart of direct response advertising is in the planning, organizing and pricing of the marketing campaign. Small business entrepreneurs must match mailing list selection to prospect profiles and design a campaign that targets the customer. Most importantly, providing follow up service with back-end analysis, fulfillment of orders and inquiries this allows a small business to test and measure campaigns quickly and inexpensively.

A small business financial planner can than focus on the most profitable segments of a campaign. Direct response marketing is efficient its small target groups made up of the most interested prospects for a product or service.

Direct mail and direct marketing are sometimes used interchangeably. Direct marketing can be used effectively in many different media's and is not limited to direct mail advertising. Direct marketing goes far beyond sending self contained mailers. This reality is truer online since, accumulating opt-in permission based names for e-mail promotions can be done at a fraction of the cost of bulk mail marketing campaigns. I can help you during the critical planning stages e-mail me at timlit7@nethawk.com for more information.

Direct response advertising can be used in variations to support marketing and promotional activities for driving traffic to your Web site or inquiries for a product or service

A study recently published in the Marketing section of the Wall Street Journal (December 2002.) Indicates that media spending will shift away from traditional media advertising and switch towards Internet marketing and direct mail since they appear to be more promising. "E-mail marketing is more measurable and is seen as a good value for the money as people get better customer targeting".
The growth of direct response marketing online and off has grown tremendously over the last few years. The benefits and profit potential online has been recognized worldwide and will be the number one advertising vehicle both online and off for the following reasons.

*Patrick Barwise - London Business School management and marketing.

Benefits drive direct marketing. If you don't already think of your marketing in terms of benefits, now is a good time to start. Direct marketing is like no other form of advertising since you have control over your message and you control everything color, design, the list, and your budget and payment options.

The flexibility of direct response marketing helps you to broaden your thinking. Precise targeting allows you to search for specific products. The more precise your message is the less money and time you spend on people who are not interested or qualified to use your product. Direct response marketing is an equalizer for a small business. Finally you are able to compete with larger competitors with targeted messages and react quickly to changes in the market because of your small size.

Direct Marketing is immediate and personal. What is more immediate and personal than a letter? New opt-in email technologies allow you to reach thousands of prospects in minutes with a personalized message including name and personal interests.

Direct marketing is a more testable form of advertising. Every mailing campaign you run is an opportunity for you to test something and gain information that can help you improve your marketing. You always have the opportunity to test different lists, offers and packages. You need to have a good tracking program in place to do this effectively.

Part 2: The money is in the list

You can use direct response marketing to build a database. Whenever a prospect buys from you simply add their name and purchase information to your database. The quickest way to build a database is to offer a free electronic brochure embedded on your Web site for example (9 ways to retire 10 years early or free quotes and 30 days of free life insurance.)

The reason for your database is to re-sell to your prospects again and again and test cross selling techniques for free. This brochure can be plugged in to your web site for download or you can personally make an appointment with your prospect and hand them a brochure in person.

There is no doubt that these techniques will help you to achieve success in your marketing efforts. It is important that you plot the destination of your marketing campaigns with a marketing or business plan. Direct marketing results are almost immediate and these results will not help you unless you plan your business objectives. Many companies falter and lose sight of overall goals without a marketing plan to guide them.

Improved Computer capabilities and more recently the internet has made both direct marketing and direct mail more efficient and more effective with database marketing. The way to make direct mail more efficient especially with the rising costs of postal rates and print media is to target prospects with database collections.

The database is a collection of information on customers and perspective customers including their names, addresses, titles and companies. Lists selections can be further segmented by geography or zip-codes, gender, income and commission levels.

Prospects are grouped together with common characteristics to increase marketing effectiveness. The database is used to fit customers with products or services and to aim a precisely written message to a special group of people.

Successful sales professionals know that the more they know about their customers and prospects the better they will be able to sell to them. The same is true in direct marketing and the list is the key resource.

Close list selection and analysis is the first step to ensuring a successful direct response program both online and off. The money is in the list and in this sense the internet has not changed this fact. Today, it is much less expensive to collect and test different offers with the speed of the Internet. This is the same way publishers have sold magazine subscriptions and books since the beginning of the century. The only difference today is that the Internet has made it much faster and cheaper to compile permission based opt-in lists online.

Even a great product at a reduced price would be useless if it is presented to the wrong prospects. You must target your prospect to generate traffic for your product by Web site or mail.

Most lists fall into two categories compiled lists or direct response lists. Compiled lists are phone directories annual membership rosters, and manufacturing directories. Response lists are just as they imply they have responded and purchased a targeted product or service recently, because of this fact they are most likely to purchase a similar item again. Response lists are common for magazine subscriptions or lists of prospects that have purchased life insurance or indexed annuities recently.

Standard Rates and Data Services (SRDS) are directories of response lists. They will include quantities and descriptions of each list for sale.

Part 3: Direct Marketing Strategy

The offer is often referred to as the deal. This is what people get for there money. Whether you're planning a direct marketing strategy, evaluating a campaign or writing an ad much of the work revolves around three important elements. The offer the list and the creative and these elements work together or separately to make your direct marketing promotion work.

The offer is the product or service being sold and includes any warranties, guarantees, features, and price and credit terms. The offer could also be the actions someone needs to take to place an order like a shopping cart or form on a Web site or reply card in a bulk mailing.

Offers separate general advertising from direct response. General advertising often excludes the critical information that should always be included in direct response advertising. Direct response puts all the necessary information together in an offer and tells the reader exactly how to respond. People expect offers in direct response advertising. You must give the prospective customer a reason to respond like limited offer or special bonus, since the purchase is impulsive in nature.

Failing to make the offer clear or forgetting to make an offer at all is a common mistake among direct response marketing beginners. The way to get a response to an offer is to make a deal that prospects can't refuse.

In direct marketing, offers are categorized by the method of payment. Offers with delayed billing and trial periods are soft offers. Asking for a payment up front with a special bonus for paying now by credit card is a hard offer. The payment terms like accepting credit cards online makes a big difference in the response to the offer. Splitting up payments can sometimes make a difference on higher priced items.

Sometimes in direct marketing the elements included in a product can make a big difference in response. The price of an offer should be tested at certain price points. Testing hard offer verses soft offer sometimes can make a big difference in response rates. Always strive to improve your offer by testing different elements of an offer.

Part 4: Direct Marketing Creative

Your actual copy and graphic design is important in direct response but less than a well defined strategy using your offer and a targeted list.

Poor graphic design can hurt your response and professional image. Lavish or unusual artistic techniques may work well for magazines and other types of advertising but would actually distract or lower response rates in direct mail. It would be wise to keep your graphic design to a minimum unless you employ a graphic designer for design or professional photographer to shoot your photography. Direct response advertising is a combination of words, pictures and graphics. The words used almost always must move and persuade.

Write a sales letter for entry-level products or service's and feature it on your home page. Write a sales letter convincing prospects to send an e-mail requesting a sales representative to contact them. Offer free reports, e-zine to build the list. Personalizing with first name last name, gender zip-code using mail/merge software will increase response and will separate you from the clutter of emails prospects get.

Using a compelling headline that draws your prospect into your letter and promotion can triple marketing response. The headline should be driven by product benefits or solving a problem. Headline offers would be a good item to test in a letter and can pay for it self many times over since this would become your control letter. Newspapers and tabloids use well crafted headlines to sell there publications at point of purchase display's.

Only a few Web sites use direct response marketing in there copy and the Web sites that have tested sales copy have been successful. Marlon Sanders and Cory Rudl are good examples of internet direct response marketing pioneers. Both have made fortunes selling and testing there books and e-books on the internet using old fashioned marketing techniques. Web sites that sell products and services do better if graphics and flashy programming designs are excluded since they take longer to load which will greatly lower the response unless closely tested.

The focus is writing compelling copy that describes the many benefits and features of products or services. Products that are digital in nature like e-books and MP3 music and software do especially well since the visitor will get immediate satisfaction by checking out with credit card and downloading within a couple of minutes. If you are selling e-commerce web mall items clean digital photography with limited graphics and strong copy featuring benefits like free delivery, guaranteed satisfaction or free downloads will help response levels.

Direct response soft offer trial periods are being used frequently by Microsoft Network and AOL to market there internet services. Like 60 days free with credit card verification. When the competition is fierce and pockets are deep soft offers can be very effective as long as your billing package has been tested and has proved to be effective. Payment variations (credit card, check, installment by phone or emailed by CGI form) may work well for products and services on the internet. This technique used in direct mail would have the opposite effect and may lower response. Testing this feature would give you the best answer.

Sometimes billing prospects for services can triple the response rate. The payment offer can be a crucial element in a direct response campaign and should be evaluated closely, since the pay up rate could possibly break a small business.

On a warm and sunny morning one of the close friends came and proposed me to join in shopping with her. I was already preoccupied with my kids so I tried to convince her to go alone. For that I used questioning method. In response to my question that why she need my presence during shopping? Her reply merely depicts every ones dilemma. She reasons that you are trustworthy to say which product is good for me and what would be its reasonable price?

Her answer is perfect clue for Marketing fellows and especially high pressur
marketing. Every one south give true and friendly advice which may leads to ones own benefit rather than only selling persons causes. Companies spent a lot for product promotion. One research suggests that the average marketing spent of companies in Australia is around 8% of revenue i.e. if one of our leading Australian companies shows $1,000,000 gross turn over equals $80,000 spent on marketing. I also have observe that on an average one Australian company annually spend $90,000 on a 30 second TV commercial that people will forget about 2 days later or 50,000 on a direct mail campaign that gets thrown in the bin OR spend $20,000 on a promotional campaign that will be in your clients hands, on their desks or on their heads 12 months later! It is the marketing medium that just keeps on giving. Thus wise one may conclude that one should make the product such a way that one is going to sell it to ones closest friend. This way of thinking definitely saves your marketing spent and strengthens your brand too.

I hope that our Australian companies should not be only customer friendly but should be by and large all over society friendly so we make life easy and comfortable for our next generations. Here I precisely mean to eco-friendly. Products, production methods, product packaging, factory and company offices all should be eco-friendly. Recently I notice some green products on www.brandable.com.au . Mr. Paul Riddett, Chief Brandologist shows not only branding technique for variety of products but also enable us to obtain green products with reasonable prices. They range from Promotional Products to Corporate Gifts, Promotional Items, Branded Merchandise, Corporate Uniforms, Corporate Clothing, Branded Clothing, Brandable Promotional Clothing, Corporate Pens, Branded Merchandise, giveaways, Embroidered Clothing and so many Branded Items.

Mr. Pauls advice to the fellow country men to use products with recycling logo seems valuable. Apart from the vast territorial resources Australia have abundant sea treasures. Unique species of the flora and fauna may have adverse impacts due to our greedy marketing and consumption habits. If you agree with this definitely write us.

Thinkfun Rush Hour 2

Posted by Admin | 12:50 AM

Rush Hour truly is a great brain teaser and after battling each other over who needs the smallest number of moves to solve each problem I think this is the toy that will remain way up in the list of favourites for a long time. It doesn\'t just have one solution to each problem which is also great because we all approach problems different. The game is really great fun for the whole family (maybe not for children under 10) and we even took it to a party where to my surprise everyone gathered around it and battled each other - it was being
passed on all night.
Anybody who has played Rush Hour must know the nice feeling you get when you finally pass the 40th puzzle, and the bad feeling you get when you realize that it is over. Well Rush Hour has made three expansion packs of 40 new challenges each. Each will sharpen you concentration an logic skills.

Rush Hour Two comes with a Convertible Red Escape Car and 40 new challenges from Intermediate to Grand Master. Now Grand Master might sound scary but it\'s basically the same as Expert. The cool difference is that in some Challenges you have to clear Both escape cars to win. This is a wonderful addition to an already great game. Remember that you must own Rush Hour to use this expansion. A DEFINITE MUST BUY!
Go aheead and buy one or two extra packs of game cards for Rush Hour. You child (or you) will want them quickly.

Corporate identity branding and rebranding services, is an area which requires imm
nse thought and great care. Aspects of corporate branding that may seem quirky or fashionable today may not appear so in five or ten years' time. Identity branding is an aspect of any company's business plan which cannot be rushed into, and must be considered carefully with the future in mind.

One of the key considerations in terms of successful branding is the nature of the business, product or service. To a very significant extent it will be important to keep these aspects of your business in mind, and not simply seek an image that looks cool or modern.  Images, colors and even the style of artistry used in any logo or brand image will all prompt customers or potential clients to make assumptions before becoming familiar with it.

Whether these assumptions are accurate or correct is immaterial: your corporate identity branding will give rise to them irrespective of your own motivation for the way your business is branded. Colors and logos which appear vibrant and up-to-date may work today, but one needs only to look at those companies formed five or ten years ago to see that many of them already look tired and dated.

History and existing businesses can also have an impact on perception - or could make your business work.   As a simple example of this, an intended up-market eatery would undoubtedly fail with the name '"McDonald's Sushi Bar" - or would it?  Perhaps not, especially if that as your name, but market research would help to determine that.

This is often why many businesses enter into a rebranding phase. Initial success could drift, or an image could become dated or worn.  There is no doubt that reviewing and updating your corporate image can prove to be successful, but it could also fail. There are two good reasons why corporate rebranding should not be undertaken too lightly.

The first is, of course, the cost. The branding of a company, no matter what its size, will necessarily cost a significant amount of the budget. The face presented to all of its potential customers must be right. This will involve artists, designers, marketing and consultants, not to mention a massive amount of printing, labeling and promotion.

Further to that, if your business already has a recognized brand image, then rebranding it can cause confusion. Many customers may not realize that the company has been rebranded, and believe that you are a new company. This is likely to cause many customers to reconsider their business with you, and compare the market for alternatives.

Rebranding can cause divide and instability if not treated carefully and appropriately. Using experts who are familiar with this process and the obstacles which can appear along the way is a very sensible idea. Perhaps anyone can sketch up a nice looking logo and decide on a couple of colors which look good together. It is quite another to manage the whole process smoothly and efficiently so that customers and clients do not feel unsettled, confused, or liable to consider that your company has changed as dramatically as the logo.

Of course, updating a corporate branding image can have many very positive consequences. That, after all, is almost certainly why you are considering undertaking such a process in the first place. Updating the image can be tailored to coincide with the updating of the company itself.

It is well worth being aware that, in the current climate, corporate branding is something very much on the minds of customers and clients. So many companies are struggling, being bought out, taken over, sold off and merged together that the number of brand names leaving the shelves, or changing in the high street is highly noticeable.

Your branding process should not give the impression to the customer that you are undecided, or covering up issues that might be of concern. You will need to think carefully about why you consider rebranding is necessary, and to some extent, justifying this to your customers.

Hurling a completely new logo, color scheme and image at your existing customers entirely unannounced will cause confusion, with many feeling that the company may have been bought out, and their details passed on to an unknown buyer. To avoid this it will be essential for you to communicate your intentions to your customers well in advance of putting them into practice.

This is where the services of experts who are experienced within this field can be of vital importance. They will be able to manage or advise the corporate branding process smoothly from beginning to end, ensuring that both the company and its clients are happy and understand what is happening. Just as importantly, your customers will be able to understand what is not happening too, such as the company being sold off or bought out.

If you are starting up a new company and are considering your brand identity for the first time, you might assume that these issues will not affect you directly. Whilst it is true that your existing customers are unlikely to be concerned, you will still need to ensure that your corporate identity branding ticks all the right boxes in terms of what customers expect and look for in a such a company.

By 1996, the company was large enough to call in the skillful professionals to be an assistant in organizing the eBay store.

Classification of the goods you are selling on Ebay is easy if you know which group they belong to although for everyday items people use, they are classified as general items. Consumable everyday items are forms of general items.
The sales are steady for these kind of goods at any period throughout the year on Ebay.

If fluctuation in market demand occurs,it will not as drastic as other
ypes of goods.
The real problem occurs when someone sees a gap in the Ebay market and starts selling in volume because soon others will do the same and before you know it the market is full of the same item being sold.

The result of this activity is market saturation so now too many items will be listed, causing a rise in supply and resulting in a drop in prices. Still, it can be frustrating to lose revenue due to market saturation so if you decide to sell general goods, do frequent searches for items similar to those you’re selling. When too many items of the same kind are being sold, you risk losing your profit or even forced to sell at below cost prices so try listing other items in the meantime and keep the saturated items until competition has decreased.

Sometimes it is a good idea to sell used or re-conditioned products on Ebay to improve your profit margin because they can be sold for less. This is a good way to get people to buy from you. Never compromise honesty for money if you want long term success.  A bad reputation will destroy your business, so be wary of the quality of the goods you deliver be careful of the quality of the goods you deliver, it determines your survival as a seller.

When selling general products on Ebay it is easy to project the outcome because most of the time this will produce similar results to an offline trading of similar products. This is a highly competitive marketplace, so the customer service you provide will determine your success and sets you apart from the rest. Sales will not be large, but it will be steady and giving you a good income over a considerable period of time.

Be realistic with your goals and while there are true stories about sellers who made instant fortunes on Ebay, for every overnight success, there are thousands who have to use hard work and common sense to make ends meet. Aim for a solid supplemental income and then slowly expand your business until it can be your sole endeavor. All successful sellers diversify and sell a range of merchandise. Include many kinds of products so that the effect of one single product alone will not affect the overall sales.

There will be an ongoing market for general goods on eBay. Make frequent listings on Ebay to show the array of products you have. Once our reputation is established , you can expect to make lots of money through this marketplace Exercise patience and take time to build your reputation and the trust of your customers.
